Terms of use
These terms govern the use of the invitesyou service offered at invitesyou.io. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
The service and your account
invitesyou lets you create digital invitations, send them by email or by text and receive your guests’ answers.
You are responsible for your account and for what is done with it. Keep access to your email address secure, since it is how you sign in.
Who may use the service
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Guests do not need an account.
Plans, prices and payments
Plan prices are shown on the pricing page. Applicable taxes are added.
- A plan for one event is paid once, when you publish. It is refunded if you ask within 48 hours and no invitation has been sent.
- Moving up to a higher plan costs only the difference in price.
- Each plan includes a number of texts. Text packs can be added to a paid plan.
- Plans for organizations renew every year. You manage renewal and cancellation in Stripe’s customer portal.
Acceptable use
You agree to:
- have your guests’ consent before sending them texts, and the recipients’ consent before sending an organization’s messages;
- send no spam;
- not pretend to be another person or organization;
- post no unlawful content.
Every invitation page offers a link to report it. A new account’s first large send may be checked before it goes out. We may suspend an invitation or an account that breaks these rules.
Your content
The content you add (texts, images, guest list) belongs to you. You grant us the licence needed to store it, display it and send it to your guests.
The templates, the commissioned illustrations and the rest of the service remain ours. You may use them in your invitations.
Availability
We do our best to keep the service running at all times, but this first version comes with no uptime guarantee.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the last 12 months.
Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, and the courts of Quebec have jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights that the consumer protection law of your place of residence gives you.
